Aristocrat Original Painting (Stephen Gayford's private originals collection)
(OASGO2)
Comments:
Known as the “King of the Beasts” Lions have roamed African plains and woodlands for many thousands of years. They are feared by most animals, with the exception of elephants and rhino’s who don’t normally fear anything! I observed this ‘Aristocrat’ in the Ngorongoro Crater reserve, the sun was going down and we were driving back to the lodge, we rounded a bend and there he was. He looked so regal and Aristocatic, he was king of all he surveyed and made a lasting impression on me. A Lion's senses are very acute, their eyesight is five times better than a human's, and can hear prey that is more then a mile away and using their keen sense of smell, Lions can tell if prey is nearby and even how long ago it passed.
